Tizzi Fib was born in Alexandria Romania in 1954. She graduated as a Master of Arts, graphic artist in Bucharest at Universitatea de Arta si Design in 1977. She also has a second degree of Master of Arts, a graphic designer in the Design Department, at the University of Art and Design Helsinki from where she graduated in 1995.
Since 1968 she has had regular exhibitions in Romania. In 1990 emigrated to Finland and has since been a full member of the Finnish Graphic Artists Society. Swedish Graphic Artists Association Grafikens Hus also accepted her attendance in 1997.
During the last 30 years, her work has been exhibited both in solo and group exhibitions, in Finland and abroad. Her works can be found in private collections and in some museum collections.
Tizzi Fibs works have been awarded in Finland, Japan, Sweden, and Egypt. Her preferred techniques are relief-printing and etching.
Her etchings are unique because they are built out of hundreds or thousands of plates. She is also specialized in Ex libris and artists books and she owns a mentionable collection. Tizzi Fib has extensive pedagogical art activity; teaches the art of the book at the University of Art and design.
